How it works
It’s a simple concept, with inconceivable impact.
We fulfill our mission and vision by meeting four times a year, learning about our local non-profits.
Members pledge to make a donation of $100 at each quarterly meeting to be contributed to a selected charity. Total annual member contribution is $400.
Prior to each meeting there is a 48-hour submission period in which members can nominate a local 501(c)(3) registered charity to be considered for the donation. Nominations must include answering the “Getting to Know a Non-Profit Questionnaire".
After screening to ensure they meet the requirements of a reputable charity and ethical standards, three of the nominated charities are randomly selected to present and answer questions at the meeting.
Once the three nominated charities have presented, and questions have been answered, members vote and the winning charity receives a donation of $10,000. When we join together and each give a little, we make a big impact!
*A separate but similar process is also conducted for local Muslim charities/initiatives however, any remaining funds after the local charities are awarded, will be distributed to a local Muslim charity/initiatives.
